Aids residential clients with daily needs and provides information concerning policies, facilities, and services by performing the following duties.
Answers the hotline.

RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able and willing to work 2nd shift (4:

m.
to 12:
30 a.
m.
), 3rd shift (12:
30 am to 8:
30 am) and occasional weekends.
Answers phone and hotline; converses with clients to provide crisis intervention, support, assistance and information.
Explains guidelines and policies established by organization.
Facilitates residential meetings to advise residential clients needing assistance in child care, food, money management, housekeeping issues, and updating client chore list as needed.
Informs residential clients of facilities such as bedrooms, kitchen, laundry and playground and demonstrates use and care of equipment for client use.
Provides information on location and nature of available community services such as clinics and recreation centers.
Assists with client follow-up as assigned.
Documents all interaction with clients and maintains record keeping system by:
completing intakes on arrival of residential clients, preparing new client files and information packets, completing monthly grids to ensure accuracy of client records (each of the duties as assigned).
Performs housekeeping duties including but not limited to:
vacuuming, mopping, steaming, and disinfecting all areas of the shelter.
Assists with computer data entry as assigned.
Must be open-minded and accepting of individuals with different beliefs and worldviews.
Remains informed of domestic violence issues; attend in-service trainings Performs job responsibilities to maintain an atmosphere of cohesiveness Adheres to:
Personnel Policies and Procedures Communication Guidelines Mandated Reporter Contract Confidentiality Contract EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
